Study Performance and Hypnosis
At this time of year the academic assessments begin. Having a practice in a university city, I have seen from May through June Undergraduates as well as Post Graduate students come to me all with the same issue. How to perform at their very best during exam and assessment season.
For people who have been out of education for a while, it may be difficult to envision how much pressure these students are under. There is a great pressure put to bear on them to be the top or be the best as by doing so it will help them to secure careers in this highly competitive world.
Whilst this is true to some extent, when I work with students I endeavour to remind them that the purpose of education is not the degree, but the knowledge that they gain. Though using hypnosis, I can assist people by reducing their stress levels as they revise. If they are less stressed as they revise they are far more likely to retain and be able to access information when it comes time for the exams.
Like with athletes, I will also use hypnosis for mental rehearsal which in effect is to get them to practise taking their exams successfully in their own minds. As the unconscious takes all things literally, the more they practice and succeed in their mind, the more likely it is they will succeed in reality.
If you are taking exams this month, remember, whatever your results, they will never define who you are as a person. Only you can do that.
