You would have to have your head in the sand if you have not noticed the glut of sport which is on our airwaves. Be it Rugby or Football or the myriad of other sport there is a huge interest in sport this summer. This interest will lead to more of the ordinary public wanting to get out and play at some sport. Naturally, people have various skill level, but can hypnosis assist people to do their sport better? The simple answer is yes, but it is not as simple as that.

Hypnosis can help to influence the way we think about how we do what we do. Hypnosis can also be used to enhance a person’s motivational strategy when performing their sport. Hypnosis, however, cannot provide you with talent that isn’t there. It can however, enhance what you have.

Many sportspeople will tell you that sport is 10% physical and 90% mental. Hypnosis has been used for years by professionals (hypnotherapists and sports psychologists) with professional athletes to enhance their skills. This was and is particularly used in boxing and football.
