Hypnosis and Nuanced Weight Loss
It is interesting how some thing will work out. This weekend I am teaching about the efficacy of hypnosis with weight management. Then today, I came across an article published in the British Medical Joural entitled “Nuancing weight management using future focused hypnosis”.
This article goes into how hypnosis, particularly self hypnosis, can aid in weight management. This is particularly the case in self management, discipline and will power. This coincides with what many of us have taught for years. Indeed, hypnosis is a potent aid in weight management. This is not as it often portrayed. Rather than hypnosis being a miracle or wonder solution, but rather it is an adjunctive aid to help with building up ones own resources to change a person’s relationship with food.
Weight management with hypnosis requires effort on the part of the client. In other words, the hypnotherapist and hypnosis does not do the work for you. Rather is enhances what skills and resources you already have in order to help you to achieve your weight management goals.
