Change Your Life With Hypnotherapy
I see many clients at my office who are dissatisfied with their lives. Indeed, they dislike their jobs and feel that they are not really contributing to life, just contributing to paying the bills. Many people genuinely want to make a difference in the world and not simply make money.
After undergoing therapy, I get enquiries from some ex-clients about how they go about training to be a hypnotherapist. It worked for them, so they want to help others the same way. Now, I could be totally self serving at this point and say the best place to go is to the most established school in the UK, the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. I happen to be it’s Principal, hence the self serving. Rather than doing that, I will say that if you want to make sure that the school is right for you, you will want to make sure that what they train you to do is something you will actually be able to put into practice. So often, schools offer a variety of interesting subjects, but many of these have no place in the consulting room. This could be that the course does not adequately train you to use these subjects or they simply are not practical for a therapist.
I would suggest that if you are looking for hypnotherapy training, the best place to start is the UK Council for Psychotherapy and go from there. These schools all hold to an ethical framework which is both academically sound and genuinely practical.
