Anger Management and Hypnotherapy
Anger is a very powerful emotion, often seen as being negative. However, anger can be a very productive and even a positive emotion. I often remind clients that people like Martin Luther King and Mahatma Ghandi were both angry men. They turned this anger into positive action, so in reality anger is not negative.
However, it is possible to allow anger to destabilise a person’s mental and even physical state. An easy way to look at it is that the anger is not the issue it is the way the anger is expressed which is the problem. This expression can come from early memories or simply learned behaviours. Sociologically, the expression of anger has also become farless acceptable than in the past.
As with many other forms of maladaptive or negative behaviour, hypnotherapy can be a very useful tool in assisting a person to rationalise the anger into something more constructive. By doing so, the person can learn how to express their anger in a productive rather than a destructive manner. This will of course, have a positive impact not only on this, but also on other aspects of the person’s life and the lives of those around him or her.
