Alcohol Moderation and Hypnotherapy

Well we are at that time of year, al though it appears to get earlier and earlier every year. The holiday season has begun and that means one thing to a lot of people partying. This partying can often lead to over indulging in alcohol.

Now, I have always been of the belief that it is better to moderate behaviour rather than to proscribe things from your life. For example, if you say you will never drink again, it is possible that the focus of your attention then becomes either trying to avoid alcohol or constantly craving it. Moderation is the key.

Moderation is not easy, we are a society that tends to want it all and want it now. However, discipline can help us to continue to enjoy what we have always enjoyed just in a safer and healthier space. Hypnotherapy is a very effective way to help re-train yourself to moderate your excesses. Understanding why a person chooses to over indulge is a very good place to start. Once that is done then strategies can be put into place which will assist the client to be able to continue to enjoy alcohol without it taking too much out of them. I have a saying with my clients, “Tis the season to be moderate”. I hope this helps make your holiday season more healthy.
