What is Past Life Regression
I start this blog post by detailing the way that I choose to approach the subject of past life regression. Though I do not offer this service particularly, I am often asked by clients and students my take on it which is:
- The clientâs belief system is more important than that of the therapist. We will be talking about how you can work within your clientâs world, whatever you yourself choose to believe is the truth.
- Whether the stories that your clients recount are true or not is less important than what those stories mean to the clients. The therapist needs to develop the skills that assist the client gain a therapeutic benefit, if relevant, from their stories.
- Some clients may choose to do a past life regression for âfunâ. This may be fine, but the therapist must be aware of the possible implications and be able to act appropriately for the benefit of the client. Strategies will be discussed.
Accessing past lives can provide the basis for very powerful therapy. Developing this expertise opens up a whole new avenue for working with clients, whatever their belief systems.
As described by Roger Woolger past life regression gives:
âAn alternative path to self-improvement and self-enlightenment that addresses the whole person: mind, body and spiritâ
