21 May a New Beginning
As I woke this morning, I was very pleased and excited as today is the day for one of the great privileges of my working life. Today is the day for a new Stage 1 Foundation Course in Hypno-Psychotherapy.
Of course, I love the clinical work that I do, I enjoy immensely helping people achieve their therapeutic goals in individual therapy. However, there is something exciting about being part of training the next generation of practitioner.
I started teaching therapists in 1993, working for a couple of different colleges over the years before founding what was the Wasington School of Clinical and Advanced Hypnosis. This eventually merged into the UK Academy of Therapeutic Arts and Sciences. This school still trains hypnotherapists.
In 2007, I was honoured to become the 5th Principal of the oldest school of hypnosis and psychotherapy training in the UK, The National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. Since then, I have had the privilege of training well in excess of 230 practitioners and I am still excited to be doing it.
There is always great expectation and excitement on day one of the Foundation Course, and I am looking forward to the challenges and fun associated with training the next generation of hypno-psychotherapist.
